In an accident is my gear covered?
Ninjuh! asked:
I have about £2000 ($3500) worth of gear on my bike; Leathers, Helmet, GPS Tracker, Alarm, Gloves, Boots, Sliders, Tank-Bra… Plus an exhaust and expensive tyres and many more.

If I’m in an accident caused by another person, is their insurance company obliged to replace my gear or any aftermarket items if damaged on my bike?
Please list sources so I know for sure.
I’m in the UK so everyone is insured by law so no worries about situations where the person isn’t insured like in the US.
If their insurance company doesn’t have to pay, does the person who caused the accident liable? Or am I stuffed?
I purchased two of 765T type from Amazon and from Car Toy via Amazon website. The 1 that ordered from Amazon got the flawed battery, it lasts under 1 hour. I am pleased with Amazon response and support, however We’ve to contact Garmin directly for the warranty contract. The answer from Garmin sales and technician is that Garmin normally can be used for only 1 – 1.five hours. I told them that the other unit that I bought can be last longer than that and I also checked using the Garmin community in my country that it need to last at the very least 2.five – 3 hours, and it is stated inside the Garmin spec. that it can be used for about 4 hours.Definitely frustated with Garmin services and responsibility.
