When I meet clients who really want to have inexpensive weddings, I tell them to have them in the backyard. That way, they can save on wedding day reservations - and play your top wedding songs on a boombox, if necessary! If they are truly ambitious, they can even cater it themselves. If there are going to be more than thirty people there, however, this is generally not an acutely good idea.
